Week 2 Forza preview
Posted by: JaX
Last week was an exciting beginning to what should be a fantastic season. Many of the newbies showed that they are going to be fierce competition this year. Some of the veterans showed that they’re back with a vengeance. This week’s track is Maple Valley Short, the shortest track of the bunch. The Saleen S7 should be the car of choice again this week.
Dallas Venom V. San Francisco Optx
The duo from Dallas came out strong last week, taking 1st and 2nd against last year’s Region 1 MVP’s. Jason X had a six second lead before hitting a wall, allowing MuFFiNMaN and CHA0S to take over. This week, these two have to build on that luck and make sure that it wasn’t just luck that gave them the 6-1 week. SACKAMANJARO and Miximup had a decent first week, taking 2nd and 3rd, respectively, against the revamped Carolina team. Not a bad finish for a completely new team. As the season goes along, and chemistry builds, their skill may increase. MuFFiN and CHA0S will again finish 1 and 2 this weekend and continue with their success. Dallas over San Fran 6-1.

Chicago Chimera V. 3D New York
As mentioned in the Dallas match up of this week, Chicago ran into some problems last week and finished with only a combined 1 point, a far cry from last year’s typical showings. No one can predict when accidents will happen, so Jason’s mistake could have just been a strange anomaly. Chicago is bound to bounce back from last week but one person could stand in their way: Dark Storm. The second place finisher of this year’s combine and 3D’s match against LA, Dark Storm has been a great pick for New York thus far. He will stop the total dominance of Chicago. But, they will still win, 5-2.

Carolina Core V. LA CompLexity
GTO and chavisan proved me wrong last week, showing that they have worked hard in the off season and are ready for this summer. Though there were a few mishaps, LA was able to come out against the new 3D and end the night with 2nd and 3rd, giving them 3 points. The Core’s new racer, GEL, had a great first race finishing 1st in the preseason opener. Phantom had what seemed to be an unfortunate in game glitch, causing him to finish in 4th. So long as he doesn’t hit any more deer, he and GEL should bring home a 6-1 win for Carolina.
