Venom Advances To Finals!

In a very close match with the San Francisco OPTX, the Dallas Venom have once again come out victorious, thus putting them in the North American finals versus the Carolina Core. The match started off rough, much like the last match against Carolina, where the driving force of the team, Master suffered another loss. This was followed up with a very close match between Barmoa and Stermy that went to penalty kicks after a 0-0 game where Stermy came out with a 3-1 win, not putting the OPTX at 8-5 overall. It was at this point where the rest of the Venom squad stepped it up, and took the rest of the games from there. The Forza team landed their third victory this year over the OPTX with a 4-3 win. Following the Forza race was the rematch of the year between Phoenix and Vanessa, and everyone was wondering if Phoenix could beat Vanessa once again, and that's exactly what she did. After starting the match 0-2, Phoenix was able to get her game together, and once again be the only female to defeat Vanessa, by winning with a 5-3 score. The overall score was still very close, and the Venom Source squad needed to pull out 10 rounds to make sure the overall franchise won the match, and that's exactly what they did. After a 5-4 first half, the Venom took an early lead in the second half 3-1. It was then that the OPTX rallied back to tie it up 4-4 in the second half making it come down to the last round after winning a huge save round. The Venom pulled it together in the last round putting it in a 3v1 in their favor, and managed to take the match and win it for the team. Congratulations Dallas and good luck against Carolina in the North American final!

But how fitting is it that it comes down to Dallas vs. Carolina in the finals after the "classless" confrontation earlier in the regular season. This game has explosive nature written all over it. Every game is going to be hotly contested without a doubt. Wish I could be there, but I'll be cheering in an IRC chatroom, which is almost as good.
