Master Loses; Venom Wins

In a very crucial match today for the Carolina Core, the Dallas Venom squeezed out the victory. The match started out with the opening match of DoA 4 Male. It was an epic rematch of Master vs. OffbeatNinja. In this match, OffbeatNinja was able to clinch a convincing win over Master with a 5-2 score, giving Master his first loss of the season. It was now time for the rest of the Dallas Venom to step it up in order to secure the win. The following match was FIFA where Barmoa was able to win his second match against Anomaly in penalty kicks with a 3-2 score. Dead or Alive 4 Female was the third match of the night where Phoenix had a chance for revenge against Mystik, where she was able to do so by winning a very close 5-4 match. Counter-Strike: Source was up next and the Venom were looking to secure their spot for the individual final with a win. After a very dominating 8-1 first half in the Venom's favor, they had somewhat of a hard time pulling it together on the offense. The Source team was able to take the match, but lose the half 2-7. It all came down to Forza at this point with Dallas only leading by one point. If Dallas won the race, they won the match, but if Carolina won 4-3 it would go into an overtime lap, or 5-2 would end the race. It was a very close race with CHA0S leading the pack early on, he was then taken out and Carolina was holding the 1st and 2nd positions. It was at the end of the race where GEL of Carolina made a fatal mistake which resulted in MuffinMan passing both of the Core racers to win the race, and win the match for the franchise. Great job tonight Dallas. It is now time to get ready to face the OPTX in the playoffs!
