Forza week 3 preds!
Posted by: JaX
Last week was another exciting week for the racing scene. All of the races were won due to major players being taken out of the race. This week’s track, Diamond Back, has the most turns out of all the CGS tracks for this season, 13 turns in total, allowing for even more take out opportunities to arise. There are multiple places where a t-bone would be an easy solution to the opponent finishing in first place. This track is also the debut track for the TVR Cerbera Speed 12.
Chicago Chimera v. Carolina Core
Chicago has had a rough start. Jason has had some mistakes. The first week, he wrecked with a 6 second lead and ended up in 4th place. Last week, he tried to do a take out, and missed. Can he break out of his “slump” and come out on top this week? The Core has scrimmed with Dallas quite a few times this week. All in all the two teams ended up relatively even in their sessions. This practice should help them prepare for Chimera, especially since Dallas went 6-1 against them. Phantom will sacrifice himself if he’s in the front of the grid, giving GEL the top spot uncontested. Core over Chimera: 5-2

Dallas Venom v. 3D New York
ComeBackDan told me I don’t give 3D enough love. I apologize. You’ll get more love this week, just because I sense some dirty racing on the horizon. 3D had a good showing against Chicago last week, winning 5-2. The Optx gave Dallas a run for their money, winning the match 4-3 after taking CHAOS out of the lead. Chaos and Muffin have worked hard this week to come back from last weeks disappointing finish. I hope that Muffin’s driving is better than his singing, giving him an edge over 3D. However, I don’t think it will be enough this week. 3D over Venom: 4-3

LA CompLexity v. San Francisco Optx
LA and San Francisco both won their races last weekend, beating two of the best duos in the CGS this season. Both races were won on well placed take outs. Both teams have earned 7 points thus far in the preseason. That should make this weekend’s race very interesting. LA, being the veteran squad yet again this week, should have the upper hand, but as we’ve seen so far, anything can happen. San Francisco needs to have a great week, showing that they have the capability to run with the leaders of the pack. LA over San Fran: 5-2
